Fitness Boot Camp Workout

Workouts normally go as simply as one, two, three... and so on. But these daily routine exercises can easily tire most people - be these routines are for weight reduction or for muscle toning and .build up. There are people who push their bodies to the limit when exercising, like military men do in their rigid training. However this should not be the case in your workout. You need to know that you can design it in an effective way that is suitable to the pace that your body can adhere to.

Boot camps are now considered by a lot of people to be a perfect type of fitness program. Exercises here basically involve moving your entire body without stopping to rest for the entire workout duration. In boot camps you get to work your heart and skeletal muscles to an extent that you can handle. Calisthenics like push-ups, jumping jacks and crunches are among the exercises done in boot camps. This workout is quite unlike the conventional exercises though in terms of intensity. The goal of boot camp programs is to push your body to its maximum limit. You have to perform exercises so rigidly that your body gets to sweat profusely and burn large amounts of calories.

Many people opt for a boot camp workout nowadays rather than traditional workouts due to the following reasons:

- it enables your body to burn a huge amount of excess fat
- enjoyable
- works effectively
- strenuous and demanding
- very flexible; suits your hectic schedule

Before starting your boot camp workout, you should do a little warm-up for about 5 to 10 minutes. You may walk around or do a stationary marching.

You need to do the following exercises for as long as possible. You may begin with 30 seconds then try to increase it gradually. The exercises may even be altered if you like. Take deep breaths first to allow your lungs to re-expand before moving on to another exercise. You may choose to relax if you get tired after some stretches or a cardiac workout, but you should keep moving. Even as you're exercising you may drink water as it invigorates you. Always keep track of the intensity of your exercises.

Begin your workout by doing squat-thrust 6 times then count 8 while marching in place to catch your breath. Do 6 repetitions of this routine. Then do 4 slow push-ups keeping your abs in and your back straight. On the fifth, hold your body down for about 4 seconds. You should do this exercise five times.

The next routine that you need to do is a walking lunge. Extend your right leg 3 feet, bend your knees to make a 90-degree angle and lunge forward. Perform this with your left foot and then alternately for both feet until you've made 8 steps.

Next do about 20 jumping jacks as it is quite easy to do. March in place for 8 counts then go on making another set of 20 - or more if your body is up to it.

After that do a side lunge which is just similar to the walking lunge, only this time you move your body sideward. You need to do a set of at least 16 repetitions each for both the right and the left sides.

Next will be the chest squeeze. Do this by holding a ball on the front of your chest. Perform a ski jump, stationary marching, plank, high jogs then a series of slow push-ups.

Before engaging in a boot camp exercise, you should seek the advice of a fitness instructor to know if you're doing it properly. Workouts that are not done right may pose a certain risk to your body instead of being beneficial to it.
